I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space in which you can talk about whatever may be bothering you. My approach is integrative, which means that I draw on different therapeutic disciplines believing that there is not just one way to help in all situations. The therapeutic relationship is central because it is in a trusting relationship that healing and change can happen most effectively. I may draw on mindfulness, neuroscience and use creativity if this feels helpful to you. I am adept at working in a solution focused way for short term work, or in a deeper and more explorative way for longer term work.
I am a warm and welcoming person who has a long history of working with people from all walks of life. I practice from The Bridges Centre in the heart of the community in Monmouth, and I also offer meetings online. My background is in the arts and theatre, following which, I have worked as a counsellor for Horizon sexual violence service in South Wales and I currently co-manage the counselling service at Mind Monmouthshire. I have particular experience working with trauma including men and women who have been subjected to domestic abuse and child sexual abuse. I am experienced working with loss and bereavement, anxiety and depression. If you are struggling or perhaps things just don't feel quite right in your life and you need to gain some outside perspective, I welcome you to get in touch.
