I am an integrative psychotherapist and I work with clients who find themselves struggling with distressing emotions or circumstances such as:-
- low self-esteem / low self confidence
- anxiety
- bereavement
- coping after separation or divorce
- persistent low mood or sadness
- relationship difficulties
- trauma
- unwanted patterns of behaviour
-navigating life transitions, e.g. into parenthood, menopause, retirement
- finding meaning or purpose
I help by providing a private, safe place where I will listen with empathy and without judgement. I will help you to express how you are feeling and together we will explore the root of your difficulties. This may include looking at recurring emotions, patterns of behaviour, ways of thinking, family relationships, your early years and significant life events.
Our sessions will help you to see your difficulties more clearly and perhaps from a different perspective. Understanding yourself better will enable you to make positive changes, find your own answers and strengthen your ability to cope.
I trained at the Minster Centre in north London and have an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling from Middlesex University.
‘Integrative’ means that my training included a number of different therapeutic approaches (e.g. person-centred, psychodynamic, relational, gestalt CBT). In our work together I will draw upon the most appropriate approach/es according to your individual needs and circumstances.
I offer daytime sessions in London Victoria and Oxted in Surrey. I also offer sessions online (via Zoom / Teams / WhatsApp Video) or by telephone.
I know that making contact with a therapist for the first time may feel daunting. However, I encourage you to get in touch so we can make an appointment for a no-obligation initial assessment session.
During this session you can tell me about your current difficulties and ask any questions you may have about the process of therapy. My telephone number is 07528 522606 and email is liz@efritzcounselling.
