My Approach

I have been in practice for more than 16 years. Often people who choose to work with me are deep thinkers, sensitive or Highly Sensitive People (HSPs), have experienced unintentional neglect, or come to therapy with low self-esteem.

In addition to my core trainings in counselling and psychotherapy, I have a MSc in the Person-Centred Approach. I have certificates in Trauma Focused Therapy and Advanced Emotional Regulation, and am a qualified in Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT or tapping).

I offer a 15 minute call for which there is no fee because we will just be finding out if we would like to work together. There is no pressure to make a decision on the spot, and no expectation that you will go on to book therapy with me.

About Me

Do you feel that you don't fit in or belong anywhere and that it's too risky to be yourself? Somehow you're always "too much" or "too little"? Perhaps you're constantly stressed or fundamentally unhappy but can't really understand why, or you are feeling confused and overwhelmed at a time of change and you need to talk it through with someone who isn't involved?

I offer a caring, calm and non-judgmental environment in which you can feel free to talk about whatever is troubling you. I have a thoughtful and gentle style, and aim for you to leave each session feeling seen and heard. Exploring your concerns in the context of a trusting, supportive relationship can help you to understand yourself and your circumstances more fully. In this way you may gain insight so that you are better placed to find your direction and lead a more fulfilling, less troubled life.
