As an integrative practitioner I hold a number of therapeutic theories in mind which include Gestalt and psychodynamic therapy, constructive behavioural therapy as well as compassion focused therapy.
For example working together we may look back to uncover the relevance of the past and its impact on here and now life patterns and relationships. This may bring into awareness stuck patterns or ways of behaving that could be destructive or unhealthy for you and others in your life. Our work may also be about identifying ways to help combat stress, anxiety or periods of depression that are hindering a sense of experiencing and enjoying life in a way that is more beneficial for you.
The most important part of my practice is to work relationally with you. This means that we work together to help you to reveal the things you want to address and goals you wish to achieve. My belief is that human beings are relational meaning that for positive change to happen we need to be in connection, to be seen, accepted, and heard by another. What makes the therapeutic relationship different is the availability of another who has no preconception and no judgement. For me therapy is about growth and exploration in a safe, contained and confidential relationship, and I hope my practice can offer what you need to enable you to go in the direction that is right for you to make lasting helpful change.
I am an Integrative psychotherapist with an MSc in counselling and psychotherapy and a coaching diploma. The way I work will be informed by the individual needs and circumstances of each client. The way I work is a commitment to regular appointments on a weekly basis either face to face or online.
