My Approach

I offer a non-judgemental and safe place for you to explore your world and support you in this therapeutic journey. I believe every person is unique and I will work at your pace. Sessions can be long term or short term.

About Me

I am a British Asian. I moved to UK as an adult from India. I bring with me wealth of life experience and understand the impact of moving cultures. The process of transitioning, the challenges and varying emotions it accompanies, the identity crisis and emergence are some of the dominant themes of my work. It gives me meaning to be a part of people's life partnering them in their life journey and helping them manage change effectively.

I work with

  • Couples
  • Groups
  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

The layers of abuse are intricate and can be quite deeply entrenched through societal and cultural norms. Here it's respecting your experience and journey and empowering you to recognise and break those patterns. To be able to find a healthy life position as an individual within yourself and society and take a new step forward in your own time. Ready when you are!
Bereavement and loss, be it in the now or past or even to think of it in the future can be massive and bring in wide array of feelings. It is lonely to be processing those feelings on your own. I offer a therapeutic space for you to support you so that you are able to attend to those emotions.
Identity crisis is something we can all relate to at times where we can question our own self, 'Who am I'? This could be because of a change of role , entering a different phase of life or 'life stressors'. Finding out your true self and rediscovering yourself can be daunting, accepting and liberating. Why not give it a go?
I have experience of working with clients who have gone through trauma and its impact on them or a closed relative. I facilitate the sessions by drawing in from my own faith in spirituality and other grounding techniques to contain the space around us so that you feel safe and present.
No relationship is perfect and for me , it's about respecting self and the other with congruence, unconditional positive regard and empathy. I work co-creatively and collaboratively drawing from my background training in Transactional Analysis using various communication styles, visual tools where change happens within the safety of the 'therapeutic alliance'.
