My style is relaxed, relational, and human-first. I bring myself openly into the therapeutic space, offering empathy, insight, and gentle challenge where appropriate. As an integrative therapist, I will walk alongside you as we explore together and you connect with yourself — your patterns, your emotions, and the challenges of life. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to support your individual needs.
Alongside my private practice, I’ve worked within NHS and low-cost counselling services and volunteered with the Samaritans. I also have a career in marketing and communications across public and private sectors, working closely with leadership teams — experience that gives me a unique understanding of the pressures many people face.
I have had the privilege of working with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and life experiences, and I bring a strong sense of cultural sensitivity and inclusivity to my practice. My experience includes supporting people through grief, abuse, prison, homelessness, anxiety, addiction, depression, trauma, and exploration around identity, including gender, sexuality, religion, and culture.
Above all, my aim is to offer you a safe, welcoming space where you can bring all of who you are.
I am a Masters-qualified Psychotherapist and a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I hold myself to a high ethical standard, upholding the UKCP Code of Ethics and Professional Practice in all aspects of my work.
If you’d like to explore working together, I offer a free introductory conversation. Feel free to get in touch.
I’m Dawn Irons, an Integrative Psychotherapist who is big on connection. I believe that as humans, we heal in relationship — which means the bond between therapist and client is central to the work we do together. Making sure you feel safe, seen, and comfortable is always my priority.
