I am a trauma-informed psychotherapist. Your story is important and deserves to be heard, validated and understood.
I am here for you if you:
feel numb, agitated or anxious;
have trouble sleeping or, perhaps, recently noticed how small things start to bother strongly;
have been in a low mood, feeling blue, sad or "going crazy" and have difficulty making sense of it;
feel rootless, struggling to find a sense of belonging, living in "between" places;
feel that something is wrong, and intrusive thoughts preoccupy your mind, running over the same worries and memories over and over without giving you a rest?
It may be that all these thoughts ("it wasn't that bad", "others had experienced worse", etc.), feelings and sensations of low and stuck are related to the events you went through recently or in the past (bereavement, divorce or breakup, trauma, work-related issues, immigration, etc.).
If so, trauma-informed psychotherapy can be helpful. Together we will explore your story and how some past events could've impacted your mental, emotional, behavioural and spiritual well-being now.
If you have questions, I offer a free introductory session to talk briefly about your emotional needs.
During our sessions, you will have the opportunity to explore your difficulties, and what holds you back, gain a better understanding of yourself and your coping strategies and find a way forward to live your life in a fuller and more satisfying way.
Woman's Trauma Support Group (Eng and Russian)
The therapy group will help you to:
analyze your own life and comprehend the negative experiences of the past;
process your unresolved feelings;
become aware of your needs;
determine your boundaries;
identify resources to overcome difficulties and manage your life.
I offer face-to-face and online psychotherapy, counselling and coaching sessions. I am a Transactional Analysis psychotherapist, and EMDR practitioner and use a range of therapy approaches and models to suit one's needs.
I offer an initial free consultation lasting 30 minutes, during which we can see what kind of support you may require. The following sessions take place weekly and last 50 minutes (individual therapy) and 2 hours (couples therapy). The number of sessions will vary depending on the individual circumstances and issues the person brings to therapy.
Throughout my life, I have gone through a vast number of life-challenging situations (loss, moving countries, dealing with the aftermath of relational trauma) and I have firsthand experience working through change from shock to acceptance and development. My therapy was transformative.
I started my private practice because I saw many people struggle with the aftermath of relational trauma in their daily lives - at work, in their families, and with friends and I want to show that change is possible.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
