Recongising that you may need help through counselling can be both courageous and daunting. It can be difficult to reach out and find the right person for you to confide in, who really listens without criticism or streams of unwanted advice. I therefore understand the importance to offer a free consultation where we can informally discuss what you’d like from therapy and whether we can work together, before making any sort of commitment.
If we do decide to work together, I believe the relationship we establish in our sessions is most essential to help you on the road to self-discovery and change. I therefore aim to create a non-judgmental and confidential space for us to explore within.
I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual. It is therefore I trained as an Integrative Psychotherapist, which essentially means that I can work with a variety of approaches that suit your needs. These include approaches such as Person-Centred Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Attachment Theory and Existentialism.
I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, which can range from anything between six sessions to two years or more. A session lasts 50 minutes and takes place once a week, usually on the same day and time. This is something we can discuss during our initial session.
My work as a Psychotherapist covers a range of issues, including some of the following:
Abuse; Addictions; Bereavement and Loss; Bullying; Depression and Anxiety; Identity and Personal Development; OCD; Relationships; Self-esteem; Self-harm and Trauma.
