I hold two masters level trainings in therapeutic support, including an MSc in psychotherapy. My trainings allow me to integrate a variety of therapeutic theory and principles together with my primarily psychodynamic modality, to enhance and tailor my approach to working with you as an individual. I'm always seeking to find the best approach for the person that I am working with, believing the time we spend together should work hard for you, and for your future. To me this is about ensuring you feel safe enough to share anything you might wish to, and to support you in finding a way forward from where you might feel stuck.
I am an experienced and accredited counsellor and psychotherapist, registered with the BACP and UKCP.
I provide a warm and supportive space in which to help you further your self awareness and knowledge. My approach focusses on exploring the way you see the world, building your understanding of how your past might be effective in your present, and discovering what it is you truly want for your present and future.
Sometimes, the challenges or traumas of our past can cause us to adapt in ways which, though resourceful and necessary at their inception, might later become unhelpful and limiting. Counselling can help you recognise where this may be happening for you, and to explore how you might move beyond these constraints.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
