Trained in psychodynamic and humanistic/existential approaches, as well as arts-based practice, I integrate current research in nervous system development, neuroscience and trauma treatment to offer an all-round perspective on the socio-emotional and developmental needs of the child.
My approach is warm and relational, supporting nervous system regulation and socio-emotional growth. I focus on creating a trusted space where difficult feelings can be safely explored and processed.
Drawing on a range of creative therapeutic tools, including puppetry, art, sandplay, music, drama and embodied awareness, I adapt my work to meet the needs of the child – whether verbal or non-verbal.
I am a UKCP-registered, integrative child and adolescent psychotherapist, a psychotherapy trainer and core tutor at Terapia institute of child psychotherapy; and a trainee Somatic Experiencing® (SE) practitioner, currently working towards qualification and accreditation with SEA UK.
I offer time-limited and long-term therapy to children and young people, along with a developmentally informed approach to the treatment of trauma, PTSD and stress disorders in children, young people and adults.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
