Welcome, I offer psychotherapy, counselling, life coaching and mentoring sessions via zoom or teams. Each modality offers a set of skills and approach that address a variety of issues or goals that you may have. You may like to utilise all three, but both the therapist and client work together to decide which pathway feels right for them. Feel free to drop me a line, call or text for an initial conversation.
Therapy and Counselling typically address past experiences that may be hindering you in the present, along with creating awareness and promoting autonomy. It requires a specific skill set and for the therapist to hold a safe, kind and confidential space. I specialise in working with sexual abuse, trauma, PTSD, OCD/OCPD, eating disorders, addictions, domestic violence, attachment disorders, parenting, anxiety, depression and grief. I am also trained to offer emergency intervention work.
Life Coaching and Mentoring increases resilience to deal with life's challenges, creates awareness, clears unconscious patterns and beliefs and helps you to set and action goals to move towards living a fulfilling and nourishing life.
My passion is to get to the heart of the matter, by holding a compassionate, kind, yet firm, loving space. I hold the belief that everyone already has the answers within them and is far more capable than they currently perceive. It is a privilege to work with people. It is a two-way, co-creative approach, where growth occurs when the intention is to find new and better ways to live.
I work on a 1:1 basis, along with offering couples counselling and group therapy. I also run workshops combining psychology, therapy, life coaching alongside tools, techniques and perspectives from my 15+ years of training with a metaphysical school - bringing eastern and western approaches to deal with life's challenges and personal issues.
Commencing my career in the mental health sector has sensitised me to community mental health issues, having previously worked in brain injury rehab; drug and alcohol rehab; eating disorder rehab; forensic units and ICU; community homes and adolescents with challenging behaviour.
Post this, I worked with children and families on a 1:1 basis to assist families through challenging times such as infidelity, divorce, suicide, bereavement, eating disorders and terminal illness.
I presently tutor students at The Global Coaching Academy in the practical learning component of life coaching combining this with the more unseen, yet 'felt' coaching psychology. I also volunteer for a helpline that assists those suffering with addictions, mental health issues and people feeling suicidal.
I am a member of BACP, UKCP, IARTA, EATA and Metanoia Institute and work within their ethical framework for clinical practice.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
