My Approach

I work as a Person Centred Therapist in a non-directive way. But where appropriate I utilise techniques from the Cognitive Behavioural approach.

About Me

I practice as a person-centred psychotherapist making use of mindfulness and creativity in my work with individuals. I work from my bespoke Therapy Room in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, East Midlands around 15 minutes drive from both M42 (J11) and M1 (J22) motorways. I have fully disabled access and private parking on my drive. I welcome inquiries from potential clients and am happy to discuss on the phone whether or not we would be able to work together.
I am now accepting Supervisees as I commence training as a Supervisor with the London School of Psychodrama in September. Please get in touch for more information.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I work with a number of clients currently helping them to manage their ADHD. Working together with the psychiatrist or other professionals involved we manage to help Clients manage their ADHD successfully.
Over the last 9 years that I have been in Private Practice I have worked with many Clients who have anger management issues. Dealing with both how to manage the anger and finding out what it is about is important to ensure a successful outcome.
I volunteered as a bereavement counsellor with a local hospice for 9 years. There I gained considerable experience at working with people who are bereaved and with people who are facing a life limiting illness. Using the parallel process model I have helped Clients deal with their grief whilst also carrying on with their lives.
So I begin my Diploma in Clinical Supervision in September with the London School of Psychodrama. I am looking for up to 3 therapists who would like to have Supervision with me - please get in contact if you are interested and we can discuss further.
