My Approach

About Me

Experienced dance movement psychotherapist and overseas-trained social worker, using a holistic approach to support people. With more than 20 years of experience in the helping professions, I offer independent and confidential services for children, young people, and adults. Creative elements can also be incorporated to enhance the experience, if desired.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I work with children and young people and their families in an independent special needs school. I also work with supervisees with an ADHD diagnosis. These experiences have shaped my practice, including setting clear boundaries while allowing flexibility to meet individual needs.
I work with children, young people, and their families in an independent special needs school and in private practice, focusing on autism and burnout. I also work closely with an educational psychologist to develop comprehensive support plans to gradually encourage pupils to re-engage with school or, where appropriate, transition to home learning.
My experience of immigrating to a new country, and of grief and bereavement, has drawn me to supporting people through their loss.
I work with people who have experienced anxiety, depression, bipolar depression, and psychotic schizophrenia.
My experience of racism has inspired me to join the Race Equity and De-Colonisation working group within my professional organisation. This allows me to continue dialogue around race, advocate for equitable access to therapeutic and creative opportunities—particularly for marginalised communities—and foster conversations about power, privilege, and belonging within the field.
