I believe that in a safe environment all kinds of insight and growth are possible. I aim to facilitate a reflective space where you feel able to explore current circumstances or past experiences. I know when we feel heard we can gain new perspectives on our thinking, feeling and behaviour in the past and currently.
I work in a flexible and integrative way, drawing on humanistic, cognitive behavioural and psychodynamic approaches. I cultivate the core conditions of empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard, to facilitate change and promote well being.
I am passionate about understanding each person’s sense of identity and belonging, while appreciating their level of self esteem and individual cultural perspectives. My experience tells me that when we increase self awareness, we can reduce stress, access unused potential, develop self acceptance or address our anger.
I work with clients experiencing abuse, addiction, anxiety, bereavement, depression, eating issues, relationship issues, self harm, sexuality issues or stress.
