Hello, and welcome. I've been qualified and practising Psychotherapy for more than 18 years. Although from Glasgow, I've spent much of my adult life in Devon, mostly training and building experience as a psychotherapist between Exeter, Bath and London, Recently after a long-held ambition, I moved my Psychotherapy practice back to Glasgow where I see clients face to face or online via Zoom or Skype.
I've built a respected track record working with clients in a variety of therapeutic settings, including the NHS, social services, specialist counselling agencies, education and business. Mostly I worked as a senior therapist in the NHS. In all my work, helping people get to know themselves better, and making possible the lasting changes they want. Alongside my private practice, most recently, I managed a team of psychological therapists in a large University in Glasgow. I've now left to return to the NHS to build on responsibilities there,
Further information is available on my website (www.peaceandplentycounselling.com) about what I can offer you as client, an indication of my background and qualifications, and the continuing development of my training and experience.
As your Psychotherapist, I seek to offer a safe place that's accepting and understanding of whatever you bring, or need to work out. We'll go at your pace, working together to gain more clarity so you can become aware of how habitual patterns of behaving, feeling, and thinking, may be causing and maintaining a sense of lowness, suffering or stuck-ness that's causing distress in your life. This journey, allows change to become possible.
How long we'll work together will be dependant on why you are coming to therapy, and what you hope to get out of it. It's something we can agree together.
