My Approach

I offer a warm and trusting confidential relationship to explore your issues whether they be current or historic. I practice from a person-centred basis which means I offer you freedom to explore without having an agenda for you. I also implement ideas around social justice and feminism into my therapy sessions. I also integrate eclectic modalities and body/trauma work to meet individual needs.

About Me

Psychotherapy with me is based on having a safe, friendly space to explore all parts of you that are having difficulty in life. I have worked extensively with people who have suffered complex trauma. I work with associated issues such as depression, anxiety, self esteem, trust issues and trauma symptoms. I also work with a lot of issues around modern day living, the environment and systems we navigate and the difficulties we face as a result, including difficulties related to neurodiversity. I work at your pace, taking a collaborative approach to achieving your goals.

I work with

  • Couples
  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I have had additional training working with neurodiversity and ADHD as well as other developmental and neurodiverse populations.
I have worked with survivors of domestic abuse for a number of years
My practice is appreciative of gender fluidity and diversity and I work with people around transition, gender identity and hold an affirming approach to explorations of ideas around gender.
I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and work with many clients around sexuality, gender identity and provide queer-affirming and trauma informed care.
I have a background working with sexual trauma, domestic abuse, childhood trauma and adverse life experience. Prior to training I worked for a number of years with traumatised children in the care system, adult sex workers, people who have been sexually exploited and during my training years I worked with survivors of domestic abuse of all gender identities.
