My Approach

I offer a safe, confidential space in which you can be deeply heard and met as you explore any aspects of your life you would like to bring. Core Process Psychotherapy is an embodied, mindfulness-based approach, which means that we will be bringing curiosity to the emotions and sensations that are arising for you in the moment, as you explore events, dynamics and issues from your life. This allows for insight and transformation to happen at a very deep level, rather than purely at a cognitive level.

My work is also relational, which means it’s really important that you feel safe and at ease with me. For this reason, I offer a free initial consultation session, so we can both get a sense for whether we’d like to work together.

Underpinning my approach is the understanding that, no matter what we have experienced, we are, at our core, inherently whole, wise, and vibrantly alive. Trauma and adversity can create deep pain and disconnection in our lives, cutting us off from connection with the people and world around us, and obscuring our connection to our own inherent health and aliveness.

When working with people I'm not trying to 'fix' anyone; but rather, to support them to regain - or deepen into - connection with their inherent health, aliveness, and sense of what is right for them.

Embodiment is another thread that underpins my approach. Deepening our cognitive awareness and understanding is an important part of the therapeutic process, but all too often the body is left out of the picture. We are embodied beings, and bringing the body in and supporting my clients to connect more with their somatic experience is at the heart of how I work. Including the body supports deeper and more sustained growth, insight, and transformation.

About Me

Hi, I'm Beth. I'm a Core Process Psychotherapist and see clients 1:1 in Tavistock and online. I hold a Masters degree from the Karuna Institute, as well an Advanced Diploma in integrative arts psychotherapy from I.A.T.E.

I also work with groups, offering Reflective Practice facilitation, and training and consultancy, across England and online.

I've worked with individuals and groups for around 10 years, in the capacity of mentor, life coach, trainer, facilitator, and psychotherapist, and have learnt a huge amount from the people I’ve worked with.

Each of us has something valuable to offer in the world - whether that's a specific gift or skill, or simply a quality of presence. Many things can block us from bringing ourselves fully, and from experiencing deep connection, enjoyment, and meaning in our lives. As I see it, we are living in a time of great challenge and upheaval, but also a time with great potential for change and transformation, on a personal, collective and systemic level.

I am passionate about supporting individuals and groups to 'unfold' that is, to become 'more themselves'; to come into greater alignment with what they are here to do or bring; and to move towards a more easeful and fulfilling experience of life.
