My Approach

I am here to listen and provide you with the space to explore your experiences and feelingsI was trained as integrative and family therapist. My approach includes Internal family Systems, emotion focused, existential, systemic family therapy. My work can be focused and short-term, or more exploratory and longer-term.
Starting therapy is daunting. I understand that it can be hard to confide your thoughts and feelings in a stranger. I therefore offer an exploratory call so that you will be better able to decide whether you feel at ease talking to me and if my approach suits you. There is no obligation to start therapy, that decision is yours entirely

About Me

Maybe you find life overwhelming? Do you feel down and is it affecting your quality of life, your relationships with family and friends? Maybe you are trying really hard to accept life as is, or no matter how hard you try to make changes, time and again you meet similar situations, recognisable patterns that seem to be repeating themselves.

  • Couples
  • Families

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I employ a systemic framework, considering how the different layers of context of each partner (e.g. early experiences of being parented, life and family stories, societal, cultural and professional norms, as well as current circumstances) inform attachment in the couple.
I am approaching issues of depression from a systemic perspective, and as symptoms of relational challenges (i.e. challenges not located in the individual but informed by their relationships and contexts).
Families (any kinship) are at the core of my practice, members holding collectively the key to the adaptations required to address change. Issues typically addressed: anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidality, step-family challenges, attachment difficulties, parenting, sibling relationships, life transitions, schooling, special needs impact on mental health, self-identification and self-esteem.
