My Approach

I am a full clinical member of the UKCP and the basis of my modality is existential psychotherapy. This simply means that I believe a lot of our problems come from being human, rather than a mental disorder. Therefore, I work by really lifting under the bonnet and seeing what is going on for you in life, how you live, and what are your struggles and issues. Rather than looking at the symptoms, i try to look for the cause to help you understand yourself more. All while offering a warm and kind space so that you can really be vulnerable and honest.

I believe therapy should be a collaborative process in which I listen and question your unique way of being in the world to gain a better understanding of how it is for you. I don’t believe therapy is me telling you what to do. Instead, I work to support, guide, and, when necessary, challenge your views so you can come to terms with where you are and understand why you feel and act the way you do. I will help you know your emotions, your values, and your beliefs so that understanding yourself gives you the power to change your life by making decisions and choices that are right for you.

Although therapy will mean having uncomfortable and difficult conversations, requiring you to work hard, I believe in offering a friendly, relaxed, and warm space so that you can fully be yourself, whoever that may be.

About Me

I help adults manage anxiety and navigate grief, loss, or life changes.
I understand the different types of loss that we experience throughout life. Whether that be the death of a loved one, a divorce, or a big life transition, you know you can’t keep feeling this way. Together, we can get through this.

You're ready to break free from the grip of anxiety or depression, to regain control, and to experience hope, a sense of calm, and inner peace. I'm here to guide you on that journey.

You want to make a change, or maybe you have had one forced upon you. Either way, you know you don’t want to keep feeling the way you do, and that’s why you’re here. I know how it feels; I’ve been there myself, and I think you are really brave for being here.

Life can be complicated and hard to navigate. You see everyone else living their lives and just want to do the same, but something is holding you back. You are ready to start making a change, and I am here to help guide you through it.

As an experienced therapist in North-West London, I can help you understand yourself better so that you can make the choices and decisions that are right for you. You don’t have to continue feeling broken and scared, and you don’t have to do it alone.

I am based between Golders Green NW11 and Finchley Central N3.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

You're ready to break free from the grip of anxiety or depression, to regain control, and to experience hope, a sense of calm and inner peace. I'm here to guide you on that therapy journey. I understand the overwhelming impact anxiety and depression can have on your everyday life and overall well-being. We’ll start by looking at what’s bringing you to therapy and how it’s impacting your life: when you first noticed it, how often it’s showing up in your day-to-day, and what you’ve done in the past to help address it. Giving you the space to unpack and be heard can be healing. I believe that this isn’t just some chemical imbalance or something you’re born with, but so much of it is what’s happened to us, Together, we will take the time to understand your story and what you’ve experienced. We’ll look at things like your childhood and early relationships and current or past relationships and patterns. The culture you grew up in and the beliefs and values you hold. By examining these things, we can begin to tie the threads of your life together with what you’re noticing in life today. You’ll gain new insight into yourself and the ways your past experiences have influenced you. This insight can be liberating, helping you to see options instead of limiting beliefs giving you hope to a new way forward. Then, we’ll work on the areas you want to see change. We’ll discuss how you want your life to look, what choices you have, and then build the skills and insight you need to make it happen. You’ll learn how to consider new perspectives and change old patterns of thinking that align with your values and the person you want to be.
Having worked and volunteered with Grief Encounter for over a decade and experiencing my own loss of a parent, I understand the pain of bereavement. Losing a loved one seems like something that will never go away. Being left with such a hole in your life where you feel like you are navigating a whole new world takes time to process. So much can change when we lose a loved one, and I am here to sit with you through it and help shoulder the burden that you may feel.
I have been there and know how difficult it can be to navigate divorce, especially with children. Together we can share a space where you can work through all the loss and pain. Navigating the future and co-parenting can seem overwhelming and impossible and it takes time to adjust.
Like any relationships, family can cause great joy and great pain. Difficult relationship with our parents, siblings or children can have an adverse affect on us a lead to anxiety, depression and a lot of pain. Having a therapist to work through difficult situations with can be helpful. In the process we can learn a lot about ourselves and our way of being. With this awareness we can make choices in the furture that we are more confident with, set boundaries, and not carry so much emotional burden.
Relationships can be the biggest source of joy and also suffering in our lives. You may be unhappy and facing a difficult decision, just had a relationship end, never been in a relationship or have suffered with infidelity. Therapy can be a safe place where you can work through your feelings away from the other and work out how to manage yourself in difficult circumstances.
