About Me

Deciding to begin therapy can feel like a significant step, and reaching out for support is not always easy. You may be experiencing distressing thoughts or emotions, facing a specific difficulty, or simply sensing that something in your life does not feel quite right. Whatever brings you to therapy, you are welcome to come exactly as you are.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change. I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where we can work together to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels right for you. My aim is to create an environment in which you feel heard, understood, and supported.

Together, we can gently explore how past experiences and relationships may be influencing your present life. Developing a deeper understanding of these patterns can help to ease distress, foster self-awareness, and open up new ways of relating—to both yourself and others. Over time, this process can support a greater sense of clarity, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.

How I Work
I am a qualified and experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist and counsellor. I offer both open-ended and time-limited therapy, depending on your needs and preferences. Sessions are available once weekly, either in person or online, giving you flexibility and choice in how you access support.

• Anxiety, depression, and low mood
• Loss, bereavement, and life changes
• Relationship and interpersonal difficulties
• Anger, frustration, and conflict
• Eating distress and eating disorders
• Addiction
• Experiences of abuse or trauma
• Questions around sexuality and identity
• Work-related challenges
• A general sense of feeling stuck or overwhelmed

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Grief is a natural and deeply personal response to loss, yet it can feel overwhelming, confusing, or isolating. I offer a safe, confidential, and compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings following a bereavement—whether recent or from the past. We will work at a pace that feels right for you, without any expectation to “move on” or experience grief in a particular way. My aim is to support you in making sense of your loss and finding a way to carry it that feels more manageable.
I have experience working with eating distress, disordered eating, and eating disorders. My approach is compassionate and considers you as a whole person, rather than focusing solely on behaviours around food. Together, we can explore the underlying thoughts, feelings, and experiences connected to eating difficulties, supporting you in developing a more balanced and understanding relationship with food, your body, and yourself. The aim is to support meaningful and lasting change, in a way that feels respectful and manageable for you.
I work with adults experiencing a range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, stress, and relationship challenges. You may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward. Therapy can offer a space to gain clarity, understand patterns, and develop ways of coping that feel more supportive and sustainable. I offer a warm, confidential, and non-judgemental environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely, and at your own pace.
Speaking about experiences of sexual abuse can feel difficult, and it is important that you feel in control of what you share and when. I provide a safe, non-judgemental, and confidential space where you can begin to explore your experiences at your own pace. My approach is trauma-informed, recognising the impact that trauma can have on both mind and body. Together, we can work towards reducing feelings of shame, rebuilding a sense of self-worth, and supporting you in feeling more secure and in control in your life and relationships.
Trauma is a natural response to overwhelming or distressing experiences and can affect how you feel, think, and relate to others. You may notice feeling anxious, on edge, disconnected, or shut down. In our work together, we would prioritise creating a sense of safety and stability, moving at a pace that feels manageable for you. I offer a supportive and containing space where we can gently explore your experiences, helping you to better understand your responses and, over time, process what has happened in a way that feels safe and contained.
