I aim to create a safe space where we can understand what's causing you to feel and act the way you do. Often this can be from ways of thinking that became embedded in the past, that we needed as a survival strategy then but may not suit us in the here and now. With that understanding my hope is that old patterns can be broken and new and more satisfying patterns can take their place.
I am a UKCP and BPC registered psychotherapist with twenty years’ experience in both private practice and the charity sector where I managed a counselling agency for seven years. I aim to create a safe and secure environment where you can talk, be heard non-judgmentally in complete confidence and feel supported.
I see people who are suffering from a combination of stress, anger, anxiety and depression and sometimes may lack confidence or find their relationships not working. In our modern society the gender roles of men and women are less clearly defined and I also see many people who are struggling with their identities as men and women or with their feelings about their sexuality.
I'm based in Islington in a purpose-built suite of therapy rooms offering a calm and quiet environment for therapy either just across the road from Angel tube. Local buses from the City, West End, Stoke Newington and Hackney stop outside or nearby. On street meter parking is available nearby.

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
