I see therapy as a process that supports us to deepen awareness around who we are and our ways of being in the world. Therapy creates space to work through difficult experiences, thoughts and feelings, which in turn can ignite deep healing and personal growth.
My approach is grounded in acceptance, sensitivity, and respect. Sessions will be led by whatever you feel is most important to you. I believe you hold the answers - my role is to help you tap into your own internal wisdom.
I integrate a range of therapeutic approaches into my practice, tailored to the unique needs of each individual;
I consider the nature of our relationships to be central to our wellbeing. Therapy can help us explore and expand the relationship we have with ourselves, others, and our environment.
I work collaboratively to help you explore your immediate thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Paying attention to present-moment experience can deepen awareness, and create space to experiment with new approaches.
We might work with past experience to help us gain insight on the present, at a pace that feels OK for you.
I am interested in the ways our bodies hold tension, trauma, and stress. Paying attention to physical sensations and the breath can support the work we do together.
I hold curiosity for what shapes our individual, social, and cultural identities, and how this informs our way of being in the world.
I strive to nurture an inclusive therapy space. I welcome you as you are - your sex, gender, race, religion, neuro-divergence, body-image.
I offer counselling and psychotherapy to adults in Tooting, London (SW17) and online via video call.
Embarking on my first psychotherapy training in 2013 ignited a passion in me for exploring my own psyche and helping others do the same. Alongside my private therapy practice, my career history includes work with various counselling charities and mental health supported housing. Prior to working as a therapist, I spent almost two decades in Human Resources, gaining extensive experience coaching people to achieve their goals. I hold an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy and a Postgraduate Certificate in Gestalt Psychotherapy. I am currently training in psychedelic assisted therapy with the Institute of Psychedelic Therapy.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
