My training is in Transactional Analysis which is an integrative approach. This means I can tailor the therapy for you as an individual. We might work at a cognitive behavioural level to challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviours you want to change, or delve deeply into your childhood relationships and start to understand where your psychological patterns began. It depends what is best for you and we decide on this together.
I believe that the most important thing for healing, growth and successful therapy is the relationship between us as therapist and client. It can be really daunting to meet a therapist (or any new person!) for the first time. My job is to put you at ease, to be real and human and meet you where you are in life. I look forward to meeting you and beginning our relationship.
I am a qualified and experienced Relational Transactional Analysis Psychotherapist (MSc, CTA) and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with over eight years' experience of helping clients to make the changes they want in their lives. I also work as a Mental Health Mentor at a London University.
I believe in psychotherapy because, for most people, life is hard! We struggle with how we feel about ourselves, with relationships with others, with managing difficult feelings and experiences in life. Speaking to a well qualified and experienced psychotherapist can make all the difference. I offer an empathic, warm and safe space in which you can explore what is troubling you.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
