My approach is tailored to each person's needs. Each person's difficulties may have been triggered by multiple factors including the present situation, past traumas, personal, social or existential issues. Talking about problems with a therapist can bring to light different perspectives and allow new meanings to emerge. I also practise meditation which can be used in session to complement the psychotherapeutic process and can provide a present focussed short-term solution focussed therapy.
I am a professionally trained counsellor and psychotherapist (MA, AdDip) working in London, having completed my training at The Minster Centre and am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. In addition I have completed training in DBT a behavioural therapy with British Isles.
I have experience working as a counsellor and psychotherapist at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Hackney Centre for Better Health, Lifeworks employee assistance programme, Cygnet Ealing inpatient hospital for personality and eating disorders and Orri specialist eating disorder service.
I have knowledge of a wide range of mental health difficulties gained from working in posts with the NHS, Mind and Maytree Suicide Respite Centre. I am currently completing doctorate research at The University of Edinburgh.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
