My core clinical approaches are Transactional Analysis and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. I take an integrative and relational approach putting your experience at the centre of our work. I seek to provide a safe, welcoming and non judgemental space for you to explore your difficulties, find resolution, and make the changes to enable you to live a more fulfilling and enjoyable life.
I have been a psychotherapist for over 20 years. I have worked in a therapeutic community treating people with high levels of disturbance, which is often a result of early trauma and childhood neglect. I continued this work providing psychotherapy, training and consultancy to an organisation looking after and treating 'looked after' children with distressing experiences and challenging behaviours. After a few years of managing a counselling service in an FE college, I joined the NHS where I have worked for 12 years in a variety of clinical roles.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
