I have a Master's Degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy, a modality that is person-centred and has a strong focus on the therapist-client relationship, awareness and the body. Gestalt is an existential and experiential modality of therapy, I use a combination of Gestalt skills, the polyvagal theory and my own creativity to facilitate my clients in developing the tools to support themselves in their healing process. I am a registered member of UKCP and an accredited member of GPTI.
As well as working in private practise, I also work at a residential trauma centre as a trauma therapist. I was a casual lecturer overseas and worked for a local NGO, where I managed the therapeutic service for victims of crimes and for suicide prevention.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
