For individuals, couples, parents, and families:
I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is key to creating a context where clients feel safe enough to explore and imagine the future they want to create for themselves, their relationships, families and communities. I am a Systemic Psychotherapist and clinical social worker who works with clients of all ages and in various configurations (couples, individuals and families). I work part time as a senior systemic family therapist in the NHS, and part time independently. I'm passionate about social justice, compassion and trying to give individuals, couples and families an experience of respectful and curious listening, support and challenge. I have experience working with a range of challenges, in particular healing from traumatic experiences, co-parenting post-separation, post-adoption support, and living with and responding to discrimination.
To organisations:
I offer specialist safeguarding supervision to clinicians and clinical teams, as well as individual clinical supervision and support. I can work with organisation to heal from rifts within their teams and to manage competing needs and narratives. I have experience offering regular reflective spaces to teams and therapeutic groups.
Background and experience
I have been working with children and families for the last 14 years in a mixture of family support teams, social care , voluntary sector and NHS teams. I am also an educator and have taught on LGBT+ inclusion, systemic approaches to working with risk and violence, and safeguarding children.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
