UKCP has moved to York House, 221 Pentonville Road, London N1 9UZ. We are updating the address listed in all our documents, please bear with us as we make these changes.
I provide an understanding, supportive and nurturing environment, and seek to help clients to feel listened to and safe to face their dilemmas. I believe that therapy can assist a client with unlocking their values to bring a renewed sense of purpose to their life. Through therapy, clients can manage their lives to be more meaningful and satisfying and also to successfully negotiate and come to terms with past, present and future issues and crisis that affect them. Rather than taking a single interpretive approach, I am open to the many ways that a client can find meaning and purpose from their life and believe that therapy can help further widen the client’s perspective on themselves and the world around them.
I am warm and accepting, and provide for a nurturing and safe environment for clients. I have a particular interest in working with anxiety, stress and conflicts and also the pressures and crisis of purpose that can come with modern life, which can cause a feeling entrapment, anger and frustration. If these issues are not addressed in a healthy way, they can lead to damaging coping strategies, such as addictions, that can have a negative impact on relationships and personal health.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
