My Approach

Children
Often young children need s space to play and express themselves non-verbally. I encourage this through the use of board games, art material and sandtray therapy. It can also be really helpful to have some sessions with other family members so that I can advocate for the child and their needs within the family system and discuss strategies with caregivers based on our findings in therapy sessions.

Adolescents/Young People
Often young people are misunderstood and are trying to find the balance between meeting their family needs, school expectations and their own sense of who they are within their peer group. Talking is most popular amongst this age group but the same approach as above is also offered.

Adults
My skills involve listening to the story of your life, reflective feelings and patterns of behaviour and encouraging self-awareness and development through creative imagination. This may include breathwork, visualisations, bodyscans and drawing. This allows us to work on what is going on for you mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

Some areas I have been exploring with clients recently, include:

Autism
Identity
Sex/Kink
Sexual Health
Bereavement
Releasing trauma
Job dissatisfaction
Relationship difficulties
Boarding School Syndrome
Supporting parents of children with challenging behaviour

About Me

I am a Transpersonal Integrative Psychotherapist in Twickenham and available in surrounding boroughs. I use a range of disciplines and techniques to respond to my clients. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space to explore and express yourself. Underpinning my practice is the belief that we are all made up of mind, body and soul. Our essential qualities can be covered over by the stress of life and our environment. Our work is to reveal the soul nature underneath and find ways to heal and nourish the true self.

Outside of clinical hours I am licensed by the National Autistic Society to run workshops for parents with autistic teenagers and I run men's circles in person and online.

I have a BSc (Hons) in Sport Psychology, an MA in Transpersonal Child, Adolescent and Family Therapy and a Diploma in Sandplay Therapy. I am a Friend of BAATN – The Black, African and Asian Therapy Network and have completed CPD in Specialist Psychotherapy with Ex-Boarders.

My hourly rate is £80.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I have a Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism (RQF) and am licensed by the National Autistic Society to deliver training to parents of autistic teenagers. I work directly with autistic children and adults as well as families and school staff to understand what a diagnosis might mean, the impact on the child and their family/school life and how this might be managed.
I am quite a rare therapist in that I am specifically trained to work with children, adolescents, adults and families. I work in schools, running therapy and workshops for children, parents and teachers, and as such, have a high level of understanding and experience of what goes on for parents and how to navigate this challenging period.
As a trainee at the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology (CICS) I am working towards a Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy. As such, I am interested in working with individuals who may need support around sexual function problems whether you identify as AFAB, AMAB, Trans or Nonbinary, working with CSB, Kink Sexualities, Sexual Health and Fertility Matters, Disability, Sexual Trauma, Shame, Relationship Diversities, Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Violence.
