My approach is Humanistic in nature, meaning I am guided by the clients I work with and focus on the here-and-now to explore patterns of thought and behaviour. I create an empathetic and non-judgmental space for us to work together, in a collaborative way, to explore your feelings, behaviours and experiences. We can explore both what is going on for you right now, and also how your early experiences might impact this. We will work on developing trust in our therapeutic relationship and use this foundation as a way to bring about therapeutic change.
My practice is informed by intersectional and inclusive feminism and anti-oppressive practices. I encourage enquiries from all LGBTQ+ folks, transgender and gender non-conforming people, people in non-monogamous or unconventional relationships, sex workers, and other marginalised groups.
I am a queer, transgender humanistic psychotherapist. My areas of special interest are: Addiction Stress, Anxiety & Depression, Attachment, Body Image, Disabilities, Discrimination, Family Estrangement, Gender Identity, LGBTQIA+, Relationship Issues, Sexuality and Sex Issues, Trauma.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
