I provide a gentle, caring and understanding approach to thinking with my clients about the issues they want to look at that are presenting for them.
I am a qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, working from a Jungian perspective.
My initial 4-year clinical training was at the WPF, one of the UK's most respected schools of Psychotherapy training. I followed this with a year studying at the SAP to gain a better understand of working from a Jungian perspective. To enhance my capabilities I undertook a Group work course at the Berne institute and then at The Tavistock also in Group facilitation. I also completed a year of Understanding and Treating Trauma under Bessel van der Kolk, author of The Body Keeps The Score.
I also have an MA in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy.
I offer a confidential and containing space for clients looking for someone to talk to when life feels tricky to navigate.
Together, we can look at coping with the everyday difficulties that are hard to understand and deal with. Also at times we can reflect on how events from the past that feel unresolved or hard to think about on one's own, may hold clues to the feelings being experienced in the present.
I am available to meet in my comfortable, private room in Borough Hight Street or on Zoom if preferred.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
