My Approach

As an integrative psychotherapist I draw on a range of theoretical models and techniques adapted to the individual client. At the beginning, therapy is typically about building trust, getting to know each other and understanding what you want to work on. As the process continues, you can decide the pace and the agenda. For some people therapy quickly becomes a “deep dive” whereas others prefer to dip their toes in slowly. There is no right or wrong, it is all about finding a way that works for you. You are also free to bring any subject or experience to therapy with no topic being off limits.

I offer a free 15-minute call for all prospective clients to discuss whether you would like to book an initial session. The first appointment is an opportunity for you to decide whether you feel comfortable with me, and for me to be sure that I am able to offer you the kind of help you need. Once we have both agree to proceed then I offer a regular weekly slot for as long as you need it.

My original training (2012) was in person-centred and psychodynamic counselling, but I have since completed a Masters Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice at the Minster Centre in London. This training included relational, psychodynamic and body psychotherapeutic techniques. I am also experienced in working with trauma.

About Me

I’ve been working as a therapist since 2013. I enjoy working in a warm and collaborative style, helping people to heal, grow and change. I have experience in working with most common life issues such as depression, bereavement, anxiety, anger and trauma. I also frequently work with clients who have more complex needs or long term mental health issues. I am passionate about treating people as individuals, looking beyond the labels and helping them to find a way to be themselves in the world, whatever shape that takes.

I believe that therapy can be transformative in helping us to come to terms with who we are and where we come from. Even though this process can be painful at times, I hold onto the idea that we are all striving to live a life with purpose and meaning, and that therapy is a way to remove some of the blocks that prevent us from becoming ourselves.
