In this episode of our Talking Therapies podcast, produced in partnership with Psychologies Magazine, former Head of Content Matt Nicholls sat down with UKCP psychotherapist Sue Cowan-Jenssen to find out why bullying occurs in the workplace and what we can do overcome it.
Sue says: ‘We tend not to be very good about owning our own shame and so it can be very tempting to ask someone else to feel it for us by shaming them.’
In this month’s Psychologies magazine, Chief Executive, Prof Sarah Niblock, examines the how bullying can impact us, she writes: ‘A growing body of evidence confirms that bullying is one of the worst experiences we can endure. It attacks our sense of self. The effects are profound, long-lasting and acutely felt.’
