My psychotherapy career: Private practice and the benefit of working alongside other professionals

What inspires a psychotherapist to set up a private practice?

From working in primary care to setting up a private practice, UKCP psychotherapist Dr Christian Buckland has had a varied career working in different settings.

In this episode we speak to Christian to find out how he collaborates with other mental health professionals. He also shares his learnings from training that have shaped his career.

‘It takes a lot to do this job well and it’s such an important role, especially if you work with youngsters or vulnerable people. So, I’m actually really pleased the training was both educationally difficult and emotionally difficult,’ says Christian.
