The Society for Existential Analysis.

The Society for Existential Analysis (SEA) provides a forum for the expression of views and the exchange of ideas amongst those interested in the analysis of existence from philosophical and psychological perspectives.

The SEA welcomes anyone who is interested in the experience of human existence. While our events are open to everyone, our members enjoy discounts, free publications and advance information about new events.

The SEA’s Registered Charity number is 1039274. The SEA is an Organisational member of CEC (Constructivist and Existential College ) and has a membership of about 450


The SEA’s purpose is to further the study and application of Existential Therapy and Thought, by

• Organising events, seminars, conferences and other gatherings of interested people
• Providing grants and scholarships, raise funds to finance research
• Collect and disseminate related information by publications, nationally and overseas
• Accrediting trainings of Existential Psychotherapy and registering their graduated into the UKCP register.

The SEA is explicitly against racism in any form and is committed to pluralism as an essential feature of existential therapeutic practice. The SEA is considering appropriate action in furtherance of this commitment and in accordance with its stated objects, to be reflected in the SEA’s programme of events and in its role with respect to practitioner training.
