Are you studying for a UKCP-accredited qualification in psychotherapy or psychotherapeutic counselling at one of our training organisations? If you haven’t started seeing clients yet, you can become a UKCP student member.

How to join

You can apply for your student membership online - download our guide to joining.

You must be attending a UKCP-accredited course with one of our organisational members, leading to a psychotherapy or psychotherapeutic counselling qualification. To confirm your application, we need to verify your details with your training organisation, which could take up to 10 working days.

If you have started seeing clients as part of your training, you will need to upgrade to our trainee membership.

By applying to and renewing your membership, you automatically agree to the student membership declaration/terms and conditions.
