HIPC direct members’ committee assessor and delegate

Would you like to gain 40 + hours per year of CPD and benefit from networking with your HIPC Direct Member colleagues?  If so, the HIPC Direct Members Committee is looking for new members to take up the roles of HIPC DM assessor and/or delegate. You would be joining a welcoming and motivated direct members committee, which benefits from excellent administrative support from the UKCP regulation and quality assurance team (RQAT).

Delegate activities

provide an excellent opportunity for networking and professional development with your HIPC DM colleagues, who form a community of around 400 registered UKCP practitioners.  You would be supported directly by the chair of the direct members committee, by the committee as a whole and by RQAT. You would attend quarterly HIPC delegates’ meetings, which combine college business and professional development opportunities.

To apply for this role, you would need to have

  • at least 5 years on the UKCP register as a HIPC adult psychotherapist
  • been re-accredited with HIPC at least once
  • experience of providing adult psychotherapy supervision and, preferably, some experience of training and assessment of humanistic and integrative trainees up to Masters level for accreditation and re-accreditation to the UKCP register.

This is a voluntary role and can be combined with that of HIPC direct members’ committee assessor, where payment is awarded for each completed assessment.

Assessment activities

It consists of assessing, in assessor pairs, the 5-yearly HIPC DM re-accreditation submissions. The HIPC DMC processes an average of 80 submissions per year. Payment is awarded for each completed assessment. You would assess a variety of humanistic and integrative practitioners, giving you the opportunity to experience a range of perspectives and levels of experience within that modality. A meeting takes place after each yearly cohort has been completed for assessors to share their experiences.

To apply for this role, you will need to have:

  • at least 5 years on the UKCP register as a HIPC adult psychotherapist
  • been re-accredited with HIPC at least once
  • experience of providing adult psychotherapy supervision and, preferably, some experience of training and assessment of humanistic and integrative trainees up to Master’s level for accreditation and re-accreditation to the UKCP Register.

You could combine this role with that of HIPC direct members’ committee delegate.
