Volunteer opportunities

UKCP trustee

UKCP is recruiting two lay trustees to join our Board. By 'lay' we mean individuals who are not UKCP members or employees and are not from a health or psychological profession. 

This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership skills and expertise in areas such as governance, employment law or public relations. It also requires a commitment to advancing mental health services and public protection.

Chair of the membership committee

UKCP is recruiting for a chair of the Membership Committee. The chair must be a registrant who has been a full clinical member for at least a year and can demonstrate chairing abilities from experience at committee level in third-sector organisations.

The role requires excellent procedural understanding and familiarity with UKCP’s constitutional documents and organisational policies.

UKCP Ethics Committee

The UKCP Ethics Committee is seeking to recruit two lay members. The committee is particularly keen to recruit one or more therapists who are educators/trainers and one or more psychotherapy students/trainees on UKCP-accredited courses.
