My Approach

Many reasons can bring us to therapy whether they are current difficulties, life-time struggles, a desire to reflect, or the wish to flourish and thrive.

Having a safe space where you can think, feel and talk openly about what's troubling you, can help you improve mental health and emotional wellbeing.

I believe that how we feel about ourselves is intertwined with our relationships with others. Thus, change is largely facilitated by two aspects in psychotherapy; that is, the therapeutic relationship itself, and the insight that can emerge through the collaborative effort between therapist and client.

I work with clients supporting them as they gain insight into repeating patterns and enabling their self-awareness.

About Me

I am a qualified and accredited Integrative Relational Psychotherapist, offering longer term and short-term therapy in-person and online.

With over 15 years experience in the NHS as well as in corporate and private settings, I offer support to people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship troubles, overwhelm, panic attacks, trauma, work-related issues, stress, perfectionism, or burnout.

My special interest lies in interpersonal difficulties, stress management, and cross-cultural issues.

I provide a confidential, supportive and non-judgmental space in which you can explore and talk openly about your life in a way which might not be possible with friends or family.

English and German.

Alongside my private practice I work as executive coach in the corporate world and visiting lecturer at a university.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Based on my work in the NHS I draw on mindfulness and an embodied approach in the therapeutic treatment of anxiety and depression.
A cross-cultural experience describes differences in nationality, language, ethnicity, and religion. On the negative end of the spectrum this can be overwhelming to an individual's sense of belonging. Drawing on my personal experience, I recognise the importance of reconciling a kaleidoscopic identity.
Depression often goes hand in hand with relationship problems and anxiety. In the treatment I focus on building an understanding of the underlying causes for depression and parallel explore tools that address the symptoms.
To address relationship issues I usually use Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT). This brief model of psychodynamic psychotherapy draws on contemporary attachment theories and is underpinned by a growing body of scientific evidence that demonstrates the effectiveness of this approach.
