About Me

Hi there

I am a warm and compassionate counsellor and psychotherapist who provides a confidential and non-judgemental therapeutic service for my Adult clients (18+.) I have 9 years of counselling experience and in this time I have worked with a variety of client groups which includes anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family issues, low self-esteem and confidence, bereavement and loss, coping with caring responsibilities, loneliness and PTSD, although my training covers many other areas.

Having had counselling myself, I have walked in your shoes and I understand the difficulties in taking the first steps to improved mental health wellbeing. From experience I find that the first session (the 50 minute initial assessment session) allows my clients the opportunity to discuss their concerns or anxieties about the counselling process in an open and supportive environment.

I offer clients a professional experience and I draw on my knowledge and training in various theories and techniques to create an individual therapy plan for my client. The goal of my clinical work is that a client will feel part of the therapy process from its beginnings and that an inclusive process continues to allow the sessions to be tailored to meet the needs of my clients and their individual goals.

I offer both short and long term work, depending on the issues the client presents at their Initial Assessment.
