My Approach

I qualified as a family therapist & systemic psychotherapist in 2013, and as a systemic supervisor in 2019.
I enjoy working with/supporting relationships, between couples and in families.
My approach is non-judgmental & collaborative, and I am interested in sharing ideas and expertise.

Number/frequency of sessions:- this will vary. It's something we can discuss &decide together.

Initial meeting:- I will invite you to an initial consultation, where we can decide if we're suited to working together. This will be an opportunity to ask any questions about me/how I work.

About Me

I have worked in the NHS since 2004, in both outpatient and inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services.
My background is in social work.
I live in Bradford with my partner, & I have 2 grown up children.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I have worked in a therapeutic social work team based in social care. I was particularly interested in working with relationship difficulties -between Looked After young people and foster carers, and in adoptive families.
I worked as the family therapist on an adolescent inpatient unit for over 5 years, working primarily with young people with eating disorders and their families.
I have worked as a family therapist in the NHS since 2017, and I am interested in helping family members to better understand and support one other.
I am a qualified systemic supervisor, and have experience supervising individuals and groups.
