About Me

I am an Integrative Child Psychotherapist and DDP Practitioner seeing adopted children with their parents and families.

I have worked with adopted and Looked After Children and their families for the past 18 years and until recently, was part of the Child and Family Team at PAC-UK. I now work privately as an individual provider commissioned by Regional Adoption Agencies. I see children and adolescents with their parents and families for assessment and specialist therapy and offer consultations and training to parents and professionals. My approach integrates DDP with body-based interventions and use of the creative arts. I also have an interest in working with dissociation. My aim is to create a safe space for children to emotionally regulate, to process their developmental trauma and to help facilitate attachments between family members.

Referrals come through Local Authorities or Regional Adoption Agencies. I’m afraid that I don’t take any direct referrals from parents.

My other responsibilities:
Programme Director of the Integrative Child Psychotherapy MA at The Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE)

Trainer and Clinical Supervisor

My qualifications:
MA Integrative Child Psychotherapy (IATE)
PG Dip Psychoanalytic Observational Studies (M7) (The Tavistock Centre)
Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) Practitioner
Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner
Story Stems Assessment Profile accredited (Anna Freud Centre)

EMDR Levels 1, 2, and 3

I have also attended trainings in Dissociation (ISSTD), Theraplay (Level 1 and MIM), Video Interaction Guidance (VIG) and Sensory Attachment Intervention (SAI).
