My Approach

My approach is interactive and relational. We will be collaborating together to find answers and acquire the desired results. I aim for you to experience changes and improvements within the early sessions (1-3) - learn strategies and gain insights. I am down to earth and open, and it is important to me that clients feel rapport and trust.

About Me

Hi, I am a senior Integrative psychotherapist, in clinical practice for 25 years. My work is based on best practice and clinical evidence. Previous experience has been within the NHS, public and private sector, psychiatric care, Director and Professor of Psychotherapy at Regents University and in the field of addictions. I combine psychotherapy with coaching as I find this gets the best results - we look at the root causes and also employ effective strategies that can be used from the outset. I also include CBT, Mindfulness and Psychoeducation alongside key humanistic and psychodynamic theories. I work both short and long term (see my website for 'how long therapy takes?'; and I offer weekly and fortnightly options, as well as early morning and lunch time sessions, to suit busy schedules.

This can be long term or short term, with or without medication. The aims are: Mood Improvement - alleviating the symptoms of depression and achieving a more positive and stable mood; Enhanced Functioning - improving daily functioning, including work performance, relationships, and self-care; Increase Resilience - build emotional resilience and learn skills to prevent future episodes of depression.
