About Me

I am a qualified Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, and am accredited as a full member by the UKCP.

I have been working therapeutically with children, adolescents, and parents since 2010. This experience includes working in primary and secondary schools, a bereavement service based in a hospice, a residential eating disorders unit for adolescents, as well as private practice.

I offer a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space, using both talking therapy and creative means of exploring the inner world, such as clay, art materials, and sand-tray. My work is relationship-based, and I am skilled at making links with children and young people, finding a modality that works for the individual and allows them to feel safe and contained in the therapeutic space.

As an integratively trained psychotherapist, I draw on a range of theoretical frameworks, including psychodynamic theory, neuroscience, and attachment. I work in a trauma-informed way and am somatically focussed in my approach.

I also enjoy working with parents, providing a supportive environment for them to think about parenting issues, and empowering them in improving their relationships with their children. Previously, I have co-facilitated an Under 4’s group at a democratic school, providing a reflective space for parents and carers, and support around issues such as conflict resolution and sharing.

I am the Clinical Manager of a busy, multidisciplinary practice in south-east London, as well as continuing to work as an independent psychotherapist in a diverse and vibrant primary school. I also teach on an adult counselling training and volunteer with the EMDR Trauma Recovery Network.

Practice details:
My private practice is based in Crystal Palace, in warm, welcoming rooms that have been designed specifically with children, young people and their families in mind.
I am fortunate to be part of a multidisciplinary team, which includes Consultant Child Psychiatrists and Child Psychologists who can be called upon for assessments and in more complex cases where there may be higher levels of risk.

Training and qualifications:
I trained at Terapia, an integrative training school specialising in working with children, adolescents and their families. I completed a year long foundation course followed by a 4 year Masters training in Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, graduating with a Merit, and receiving a Distinction for my dissertation.
I am committed to my ongoing professional development, and am currently completing my training as an EMDR therapist, qualified to work with both children and adults.
In addition to my psychotherapy MA (Hons), I have a first degree in Psychology (BA Hons) and a Masters in Research (with Distinction), both from the University of Manchester.
I am approved as a private practitioner by a number of insurance companies, including AXA, Aviva and Cigna.
