My Approach

I also work with whole families, including foster families, using an integrative approach of psychoeducation, arts therapies, and family systemic practice. I am committed to the well-being of others and bring a perspective of empowerment and learning to those I work with.

About Me

I am an experienced therapist, supervisor and trainer, working with individuals, couples, and groups. I work online or face-to-face from our clinic in a beautiful part of Dartmoor National Park.

  • Families
  • Groups

  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I work with a range of family dynamics and problems including those with parenting children, young people and adolescents; couple life stage problems, affairs, divorce, step-parenting and domestic abuse victim/rescuer patterns.
I offer life-story work which focuses on therapeutic aspects of past identity, and future self-esteem.
General support for a range of mental health issues
I often use a systemic behavioural model called the Exeter Model, developed at the University of Exeter. The Exeter model is an evidence-based clinical approach for treating problematic relationships that have led to emotional or psychological health problems in one or both partners.
I work with life-stage, stress-related factors, helping clients to develop skills and tools to navigate change.
