My Approach

Hello, I'm Lorna, an experienced UKCP-accredited psychotherapist. I offer you a safe, encouraging and warm relationship enabling you to work through present or past issues contributing to how you're feeling both mentally and physically. I work in an embodied/somatic way, and I'm also a trauma-informed yoga teacher and offer Yoga Integrative Psychotherapy. I have extensive experience working with Neurodivergent clients inc ADHD & Autism, and I am Neurodivergent.

Integrating the body into therapy is important in my work, as our bodies house emotional stress & trauma, which manifest into physical symptoms and illness over time. I welcome all clients interested in this area and who may be curious about the positive benefits of movement, yoga, sport and the breath as tools to stay well and improve their mental health.
Feel free to contact me for a free, confidential, 15-minute consultation call. Info: I have extensive experience working in the creative / tech industries. I teach Trauma-Informed Yoga at NHS Recovery College, Changing Lives and train therapists about working with the body, breath and movement in therapy.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I teach Trauma-Informed Yoga for Changing Lives, The Recovery College, Mind and many other charities across the UK. Trauma-Sensitive Yoga is a proven treatment for trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) survivors, offering effective healing and symptom reduction.
I proudly work with many clients who are neurodiverse & part of the LGBTQ+ community.
I train therapists and counsellors from across the globe to work with the body in therapy, lecturing for Metanoia London, Wimbledon Guild of Psychotherapy, Physis Scotland, and many other training organisations worldwide. I am a UKCP Media Spokesperson, regularly speaking in the press to promote therapy.
