My Approach

The therapeutic alliance between you and your therapist will be critical, so choose your therapist wisely, be sure you connect well with your choice – all good therapists will offer a chemistry call or short session to help you decide.
For me, I critically ask for your honesty, bravery and consistent attendance. In return I promise to meet you emotionally where you are, offer thoughtful interventions, unconditional kindness and an ambition to support you in becoming conscious of what has happened and how you can heal - improving the elements that bring you to therapy in the first place.
You can read some client testimonials on my website at Psyched.com but in the main, people find me to be a warm, tender, empathic therapist, who will venture gently but with intent into the dark corners that so often unsettle our lives. Together we then find new ways of thinking, feeling and behaving that positively impact your whole self, liberating you from that which pains you.
For those in the public eye, I will sign NDA's on request but absolute confidentiality is the underlying keystone of my work with each and every client.

It all starts with a conversation.

About Me

I am a fully qualified and accredited Integrative Psychotherapist, recognised by both the UKCP and BACP our industry governing bodies and am fully DBS checked and approved to work with both adults and children. I have lived in both London and New York over the last decade.
I completed my initial Psychotherapy studies at Regents University, then undertook a further 4 years of training and qualification in Psychotherapy and Counselling at CCPE in London with further studies in Trauma and Complex Trauma. I work with individuals with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, sexual, physical and psychological abuse, inner child healing, trauma, eating disorders, hoarding, family constellation and enmeshment issues.
For leaders and corporate boards I offer individual and group Performance and Leadership psychology and coaching, encompassing board dynamics, board performance and cultural politics, given my previous 25 years in the corporate media world, advising hundreds of the top TNT companies on Human Capital in both NYC and London.
Outside of my clinical practice I am a regular writer, contributor and commentator on topics around psychotherapy, mental health, human talent and performance. Later in 2024 I will be publishing a non-fiction book focussed on the effects and recovery from psychological and narcissistic abuse.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I am trained in both physical, psychological and sexual abuse healing and understand the tender and delicate work this requires to truly heal. I have worked with many individuals who have been brave and willing to overcome tremendously abusive childhoods, relationships and family events and rediscover who they truly came into this world to be - and to reclaim that.
With our ever growing understanding and acceptance of the family of symptoms within ADHD and the medical and behavioural treatments that can support, alleviate and help, I work with both young and older adults as they move towards and through diagnosis to a life plan that brings them a whole new and positive experience of themselves. People transform!
As an proven Talent leader and global headhunter in my corporate life I have extensive real world experience with all the spectrum of challenges in the world of work - from redundancy and struggle, to executive performance and leadership and everything in between.
We are born alone and we die alone but in between, relationships and human connection are the most critical factor in our mental health. From friendships, to families and our intimate romantic partners and spouses, we also see our own struggles often played out at their keenest, in intimate settings. I work with individuals and couples who are seeking to understand themselves in relationships and how to have positive and healthy ones, through the struggle of attachment, intimacy and bravery.
On qualifying I have studied deeply in the space of General Trauma, PTSD and CPTSD and more specifically now Narcissistic trauma bond work. This area of psychology has been most progressive in the last decade and I intentionally bring the latest learnings and techniques into my work.
