My Approach

I am a Jungian psychotherapist and a Music Therapist. I work with people of all ages, listening and responding to what troubles them but also to where their creativity may be found.

About Me

I have worked as a therapist since 2008, in the NHS, schools and children's centres as well as privately. I offer supervision for arts therapists and psychodynamic counsellors/psychotherapists, and run reflective spaces for staff teams and health and social care professionals. I also facilitate a weekly Infant Observation group.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

My approach is to explore the underlying prompts to people's anxiety, as well as to think together about ways of managing it
I have extensive experience exploring emotional and communicative difficulties with children, young people and adults with autistic traits or an ASD diagnosis, using music, art materials and words.
Finding out who you are at heart is a profound process and takes time. My experience of this kind of work is that it requires a deep commitment from both of us, probably meeting more than once a week for some time.
Having worked with parents and babies with post-natal illness in specialist NHS services, I have an interest in supporting mothers and babies who are having a difficult time.
All my therapeutic work attempts to be open to that which cannot be seen, including dreams, numinous experiences, a sense that life extends far beyond what we can understand. This position informs my commitment to working with people of all faiths and of none.
