About Me

I'm an experienced psychotherapist currently working in private practice in two locations AND ONLINE: Guildford, Surrey and London SE1 (close to London Bridge ). I work with clients for short or long term therapy for a range of difficulties that they may be experiencing. I have a particular interest in working with anxiety, bereavement, work related stress, mid-life changes. I bring curiosity, warmth and intelligence to my work with clients. I create a space for clients to reflect and make sense of their life experiences - often leading to new insights and an awareness of the choices they are making in their lives. This can open up the possibility for change.

I work with

  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Most of us will experience the death of someone we love at some time in our lives. This kind of loss and our individual responses to it can be a lonely, hard and painful journey. Grief is uncharted territory for many of us, with many unpredictable thoughts, sensations and feelings - this can be confusing and frightening in itself. Grief is uncharted territory; we can’t know how it will affect us over time. It is easy to lose sight of this. Each of us will respond very differently to our experience of loss. Bereavement can change us; we may have to reinvent ourselves in a world without our loved one. That is hard and takes time. Try not to pressure on yourself to ‘get over it’ or ‘move on’. Learn to accept and trust your own feelings. It can be helpful to find someone to talk to, who doesn’t have fixed ideas and has experience of working with bereavement and different kinds of loss.
When 'work isn't working' it can bring about significant anxiety and stress. There are many causes - organisational politics and culture, team dynamics or conflict, a tension between your aspirations and the reality of the job market. I have experience of working within and consulting to many different public and third sector organisations (healthcare, higher education and the charitable sector) and of working with many clients in professional services, legal and finance sectors. In our work we can explore both the individual and organisational dimensions of the difficulties experienced.
