My Approach

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist, seeing people once or twice weekly. We will work together to look at your past, your family relationships, and how life is for you in the present, and what patterns you may be consciously or unconsciously repeating. We will think together about how therapy can help with whatever difficulties you are struggling with and what changes you’d like to make.

About Me

I have been in private practice for over 25 years and have worked with young adults, individuals and couples, to explore, support and resolve the wide ranging issues and difficulties that come up in the sessions.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I work with those that are feeling anxious or stressed about relationships, work, lack of confidence or self esteem or sometimes a generalised anxiety about everything.
I will work with you to talk through the loss, grief, sadness, denial and anger that can come with the death of someone close.
I work with couples who might be in crisis and also couples who want to communicate better, to improve their relationship
Depression can be such a debilitating condition and I work with those who have both long term depression and those that are experiencing a particular bout of depression, maybe triggered by a life event.
This might be a partner, a parent, a sibling or friends. Or it might be a lack of a significant relationship and the unhappiness that can come with that
